Common questions
How do I sign in? Actual Me uses magic links. Enter your email and we'll send you a secure sign-in link. There's no password to remember.
What data does Actual Me use? Only what you connect. You can currently connect GitHub, Slack, Notion, Oura, and your bank via Plaid, and you can upload documents or an Instagram or Facebook data export. Nothing connects unless you connect it, and you can disconnect any source at any time. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what each source provides.
Why can't I connect Google? Google sign-in and the Google Calendar and Gmail connection are temporarily unavailable while our app completes Google's verification review. They will return once that finishes. In the meantime, sign in with a magic link.
What does Candor know about me? Candor answers only from the sources you've connected. When it has no evidence for something, it says so rather than guessing. You choose who can ask it questions, and some data — your email patterns, your workspace activity, your banking — is never shown to anyone but you.
How do I delete my account? Sign in, open the Account tab in your dashboard, and choose Delete my account. This permanently deletes your profile, every connected source's data, your uploads, and your chat history. We also attempt to revoke our access with each provider and tell you if any could not be revoked automatically. It cannot be undone.
How do I disconnect a single source? Open the Sources tab and choose Disconnect next to that source. We delete the data we synced from it and attempt to revoke our access with the provider.
Is my data private? Your data is linked only to your account. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. We run no analytics or tracking of any kind. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
